Exactly 10 years ago this year, Rhondda Cynon Taf became one of the first local authorities in Wales to sign the Armed Forces Covenant, a mutual agreement of understanding between the county borough and its Armed Forces community, serving and retired.

The Armed Forces Covenant sets out a range of ways in which support is offered, including support for families and those whose loved-ones are deployed, finance, employment and housing assistance, the Covenant Grant Fund and the Veterans’ Advice Service.
