When it comes to recycling, our residents are pulling out all the stops - and with Easter almost upon us, what a ‘cracking’ time for an ‘eggs-cellent’ recycling result!
Once you have devoured all of your chocolate Easter Eggs, think before you discard the plastic and cardboard wrappings.
Rhondda Cynon Taf Council provides weekly kerbside recycling collections, along with weekly food waste and nappy collections.
So this Easter, relish and recycle - relish and enjoy your chocolate treats and recycle all of the packaging!
There will be NO CHANGE to kerbside recycling and waste collections during the Easter holidays – please place at your normal collection point on your normal day. Please remember to park sensibly so that the vehicles are able to access your street, during this busy time.
Don’t forget that the Council’s seven CRC’s are open over the bank holiday and are based in the following locations across the County Borough:
- Treherbert Industrial Estate, Treherbert, CF42 5HZ
- Cymmer Road, Dinas CF39 9BL
- Ty Amgen, Llwydcoed CF44 0BX
- Nantygwyddon Road, Gelli CF41 7TL
- North Road, Ferndale CF43 4RS
- Treforest Industrial Estate CF37 5TT
- Llantrisant 100% Recycling Centre, Pant-Y-Brad Road off Heol-Y-Sarn, Llantrisant Industrial Estate, CF72 8YT
All of these facilities will cater for all recycling needs – a full list of the items accepted can be found at www.rctcbc.gov.uk/communityrecyclingcentres
All centres are manned and attendants are happy to advise residents on recycling and assist or signpost them in disposing of their household material.
All centres are open Monday – Sunday 8:00 to 19:30 from April – October and Monday – Sunday 8:00 to 17:30 from November – March.
