Works are planned to take place next week (Monday 24th - Saturday 29th April) to resurface Mount Pleasant Road, Porth.

Rhondda Cynon Taf Council's highways team will be carrying out resurfacing works along the spine road (Mount Pleasant Road, Porth) which provides access to a number of residential properties, including; Wayne Street, Penmain Street, Park Street, Islwyn Terrace, Upton Street, Jestyn Street, Bryngwyn Street, Davies Street, Grawen Street and Vaynor Street.

During the works over 250 metres of highway will be resurfaced, with access being maintained for residents at all times - however, where possible motorists are advised to use an alternative route, taking them via Aber Rhondda Road and Packers Road.

Nigel Wheeler, Director of Highways and Streetcare Services, said: “I would like to thank the residents of the streets that are being targeted for their support in advance, as their co-operation will lead to the speedy completion of the works.”
