Get ready to party as some of the biggest tribute acts in the UK head to Rhondda Heritage Park, the Welsh Mining Experience, this August Bank Holiday.
Tribute in the Park will see some of the finest performers bring the sounds of Take That, Beyonce, Little Mix and Lady GaGa to the council’s popular family tourist attraction.

Tickets for Tribute in the Park are expected to sell fast. Tribute acts on the day include In The Mix, performing such hits as Wings, Shout out to my Ex, Salute, Black Magic and DNA; Donna Marie as Lady GaGa, famous for such hits as Applause, the Edge of Glory, Born This Way and Paparazzi; Leanne Green as Beyonce, with such hits as If I Was A Boy, Crazy In Love and Single Ladies; and Take @ That, featuring all of the hits of the ‘ultimate boy band’ Take That.
As part of a major investment programme at the family tourist attraction, totalling almost £500,000, the layout of Rhondda Heritage Park has been restructured and improved, as well as the introduction of a fresh interpretation of the history of Coal and the Rhondda Valley.
Caffe Brachi, a new Italian-theme cafe has also opened at Rhondda Heritage Park, celebrating the impact the Italian people made on Valley communities when they settled in the locality at the turn of the 20th Century.
A new simulator experience taking visitors to the coal seams is also being installed.
Cllr Ann Crimmings, Cabinet Member for Environment and Leisure, said: “The Council’s significant investment in Rhondda Heritage Park has improved the facility as a visitor attraction and our exciting range of events provide even more reasons to visit with Tribute in the Park one of many events taking place at Rhondda Heritage Park, the Welsh Mining Experience, in 2017.
“It promises to be a great day of fantastic music from some of the most popular tribute acts in the country.
“Rhondda Heritage Park already attracts visitors from all over the world, who all enjoy a unique experience at an authentic coal mine in the heart of the South Wales Valleys.
“What better place to come and enjoy the music than right here in the heart of the Rhondda Valley, known the world over as the Land of Song.”
