The Council’s award-winning Vision Products has once again been awarded Disability Confident Leader status.
As a Disability Confident Leader, Vision Products is leading the way and encouraging other employers to make the journey to become ‘Disability Confident.’
Having launched its new website in 2021 showcasing all the wonderful work it does, Vision Products continues its amazing success story. Established in 1993 as part of Rhondda Cynon Taf Council, Vision Products, which has now been a Disability Confident Leader for three years, is a supported business that provides a diverse range of accredited products and services.
The Disability Confident scheme encourages employers to think differently about employing disabled people and to recognise the opportunities and talents they can bring to a workplace.
Vision Products supports adults with disabilities to overcome barriers to employment, providing them with opportunities to attain skills and qualifications to gain sustainable paid employment.
Councillor Gareth Caple, Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council Cabinet Member for Adult Social Services, said: “I send my congratulations to all associated with Vision Products on once again gaining Disability Confident Leader status.
“Vision Products has such an amazing workforce and over the years has firmly established itself and has become a well-respected business within the highly-competitive marketplace.
“The company continues to work with people with disabilities, and its traineeship programme for young people is recognised as a highly valuable scheme.
“I am delighted that Vision Products has once again been recognised in this way as the company continues to flourish.”
The Disability Confident scheme is voluntary and has been developed by employers and disabled people’s representatives. The Disability Confident scheme has three levels that have been designed to support both employers and workforce on their Disability Confident journey.
