Community Centres

Under the COVID-19 Alert Level 4 restrictions, all community centres are CLOSED to members of the public (aside from some exceptions relating to essential services).

Day Services

The Council has reviewed ALL day service provision, including Learning Disability Learning Curves, Older People including Older People with Dementia Day Centres and the Independent Living Services - There will be some ongoing provision for a small number of people, but this will be limited to those most vulnerable and without alternative support. These people and their carers have been contacted.

All other people currently in receipt of day services should remain at home with the support of family and friends or in their supported living accommodation.

Supported Living Accommodation

Services are continuing to be provided, while taking ALL necessary actions to reduce the risk of infection to the people living in supported living accommodation.

Restrictions are now in place for visitors to keep people as safe and well as possible. Some changes have had to be made to ensure those people who are most vulnerable, can receive the care they need and are effectively safeguarded and that staff resources are effectively managed during this time. Those affected have been contacted.

Learning Disability Respite Services

All immediate planned respite care has been reviewed and those affected have been contacted.

Respite will continue to provide an emergency provision, which will prioritise high risk individual’s and support family breakdown.
