Sustrans is the charity that’s enabling people to travel by foot, bike or public transport for more of the journeys we make every day. Our work makes it possible for people to choose healthier, cleaner and cheaper journeys, with better places and spaces to move through and live in.
Sustrans is the charity behind many ground-breaking projects, including the National Cycle Network, a network of walking and cycling paths across Wales that travel though some of the prettiest scenery and finest tourist attractions Wales has to offer.
There are over 250 miles of National Cycle Network in the south Wales Valleys alone, and we are currently working with Local Authorities, Valleys Regional Park and the Welsh Government to develop an additional 100 miles of new mainly traffic-free routes across the Valleys.
Whether for travel, tourism or leisure, the National Cycle Network provides fantastic opportunities for people of all ages to enjoy fun and exercise in the outdoors.
