Safe and Warm Spaces - Apply

The Safe & Warm Spaces Fund is now closed for applications. However, you may still register your independent Safe & Warm Space.

Building upon the success of Winter Welcome Centres in previous years, Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council is keen to work with community groups and not-for-profit organisations who are interested in registering as a Safe and Warm Space.

Safe and Warm Spaces will vary from venue to venue but will include, as a minimum:

  • An accessible, welcoming space for residents of RCT (open access)
  • Free hot drinks and snacks (this could extend to a more substantive meal where possible)
  • Advice and support for residents
  • Activities such as exercise, games, arts & crafts

Safe and Warm Spaces can operate independently, or groups can apply to the RCTCBC Safe and Warm Spaces Fund for a financial contribution up to the value of £1,500.

Please note: All Safe and Warm Spaces will be advertised on the Council website. Do not use personal telephone numbers and addresses.

The RCTCBC Safe and Warm Spaces Fund is externally funded by Welsh Government.
