Mayor Cllr Sylvia Jones is most definitely still in the swing of things when it comes to charity fundraising.

Hot on the heels of her ever-popular Charity Golf Tournament came two events at Rhondda Golf Club in Penrhys, to further boost her extraordinary efforts for her chosen charities.

The beautiful venue first played host to a charity lunch, enjoyed by supporters of Cllr Jones, including the Mayor and Mayoress of Torfean.

This was followed by a fun evening of food and quizzes the following week, all in aid of the Mayor’s Charity Appealm which this year is benefitting Viva Wales; RCT Crossroads; Rhondda Powerhouse Trust, Llwynypia; Mid Rhondda Operatic Society; GTFM Community Radio (Taff Ely); Colstars Youth Theatre (Cynon Valley).

Mayor Cllr Sylvia Jones said: “I am very grateful to the management and staff at Penrhys Golf Club who have hosted two events for me this month as I continue my fundraising efforts as Rhondda Cynon Taf Mayor.

“Both were great occasions where my colleagues and supporters were able to assist fantastic, local good causes while also having a great time in the lovely surroundings of the golf course.”
