Buying toys can often prove expensive for parents, carers and childminders – so why not take advantage of Rhondda Cynon Taf’s FREE Toy Library service?
Based at Rhydyfelin Integrated Children’s Centre and Ynyscynon Early Years Centre, Llwynypia, the Toy Library offers a range of fun and developmental toys for children aged from 0-four which can be borrowed for free and used in the home.
Puzzles, games, construction toys, musical toys, books, puppets and much more can be borrowed and a delivery service can be arranged.
Good quality educational toys are available to any child, family, group, childminder or professional living or working in the county borough. The Toy Librarian makes regular visits to community groups across Rhondda Cynon Taf and can help parents or carers select and test out age-appropriate toys.
To access the service, a registration form needs to be completed and once membership has been confirmed, parents and carers or those working with children can access the service for free.

Older children can jump for joy on trampolines and other play equipment from the RCT Play Resource Centre, based in Ferndale. Catering for youngsters aged from five to 14, the centre offers circus skills equipment, mini and large size goals, basketball nets, large soft play and a range of sports equipment which can all be borrowed for free.
Families, community or church groups, play providers and professionals working with children are welcome to visit the centre at Highfield Industrial Estate; view play equipment and pick up a registration pack to borrow items.

The Toy Library and Play Resource Centre are part of the wide range of services on offer to children across Rhondda Cynon Taf, delivered by the Council’s Early Years and Family Support Services.
