Benefit and Debt Advice Surgeries

Rhondda Cynon Taf Council has secured £176,000 from the Welsh Government’s Communities First Outcomes Fund on behalf of the 24 Communities First areas in order to deliver a new welfare rights and debt advice service.

A new team of six workers from Rhondda Taff Citizens’ Advice Bureau| offer support to people with money matters, debt advice, and help with their benefits

Open to all, regardless of their age, income or employment status, the team offer one-to-one support on benefits, debt, rent arrears, difficulty with mortgages and other financial agreements, fuel poverty, utility bill arrears and more.

You can also access help to learn how to manage your money, safe and responsible borrowing and understanding the impact of the recently announced benefit reforms and public sector spending cuts.

The service runs a series of open surgeries and appointments available throughout Communities First| offices across Rhondda Cynon Taf.
