Welfare rights

Our Welfare Rights Advisers work to provide specialist information and support to identified service users with complicated welfare benefit problems.

They do not provide a direct service to the public, but currently work with people who are already using our social care services.

Their aim is to:

  • Actively promote the take-up of benefits to ensure that service users are aware of their rights with regard to welfare benefits
  • Ensure that every assistance is given to claim benefit entitlement and thereby maximise income
  • To provide advice to service users who are experiencing financial difficulties
  • To fully contribute to reducing poverty and deprivation within Rhondda Cynon Taf
The service is confidential, impartial and free.
