Alcohol & Drugs Advisory Service

The Drug and Alcohol Single Point of Access (DASPA) offers support to people who are experiencing difficulties through the misuse of illegal drugs, alcohol, volatile substances (e.g. aerosols, glue etc), and prescribed and over the counter medication.  The single telephone number gives access to advice, information and an easier road in to services for adults affected by substance misuse in Rhondda Cynon Taf and Merthyr Tydfil (Cwm Taf).  

The misuse of substances not only impacts on the lives of those directly involved but also on their families and the wider communities in which they live.  Our substance misuse service aims to enable people who misuse substances to improve the quality of their life in a way that minimises harm and offers opportunities for lifestyle change.  The service is available to people over 18 years old who misuse substances and their carers.
