Action for Nature is a plan to conserve our wildlife sites and species.
Part One of the Plan includes actions to:

Raise awareness of wildlife and its importance in Rhondda Cynon Taff

Recording and monitoring wildlife

Protecting sites of wildlife value
-
Managing land and buildings for wildlife

Two of the Plan highlights 84 habitats and species with particular importance and actions to conserve and protect them for the future.
The action plan has been produced by a partnership involving local naturalists, voluntary organisations, interested individuals and government agencies.

Part Three: Appendices is currently being updated and copies can be supplied on request.

Update
Part One of the Local Biodiversity Action Plan was approved on 7th July 2009.
The Local Biodiversity Action Plan Steering Group reviewed Action for Nature: Part One (2000) and produced an updated version (2008). Copies of Part One are available on request (paper or electronic), or see the related documents at the top of this page. Reference copies are available in Council libraries and at the Council’s offices in Sardis House and Llwyncastan Pontypridd and the Pavilions, Clydach Vale.
