The easiest way to apply for planning permission is via the Planning Portal|, where a step by step process will guide you through completing the form.
During this process the correct form is automatically generated. All necessary and relevant information is required before you can submit the form, therefore the form will contain all the information needed on first submission. This will make the process quicker because the form will not need to be returned in order to aquire any missing information. Planning Application Fees
You will usually be charged a fee for submitting a Planning Application, however, the amount you will have to pay will depend on the type of development.

Submitting your Planning Application
If you choose not to submit your application online via the Planning Portal| and would prefer to submit your application by post or in person, completed forms can be sent or brought to:

Once your application has been submitted, it is checked for administrative accuracy and checked for the appropriate fee. You (or your agent if applicable) will be sent an acknowledgement when it has been allocated a unique reference number and with details of the planning officer assigned to the case. If there is incomplete or missing information we will write to you to let you know what this is, but your application cannot be registered until it is complete.
