Foster Caring is one of the most demanding, yet rewarding, roles in Rhondda Cynon Taf.

We are determined to ensure our foster carers are treated as professional workers with recognition, allowances, fees, support and training you would expect as part of a child focused team.

Foster carers come from many different backgrounds and experiences but they all share one thing - the commitment to developing a child’s abilities and strengths and ensuring their potential is fulfilled.

Many of our foster carers also work full time or part-time. Foster carers welcome some of the most vulnerable children and young people into their homes. Foster caring enables you to receive generous fees and allowances - in line with the professional service you will be providing us - while raising a child in your own home, possibly alongside your own family.

It can be a rewarding experience, enabling you to provide a home and support to change the direction of a child’s life.
