Occupational therapy

Our Occupational Therapy Service works with people of all ages with a physical disability or chronic illness to enable people to live more independently.

We can also support people who have difficulties with every day living because of mental ill health or a learning disability.

If you are eligible to receive our support, we will discuss your needs and involve you in finding solutions that promote your independence.  If you have someone caring for you, we would enable them to provide appropriate care.  Everybody’s needs are different, so the services offered to each individual will be specific to them.

We can provide support that includes supplying, fitting and maintaining equipment or adapting your home for easier access.

For full information about this service including other organisations who can help please see our Community Occupational Therapy (COT) Services fact sheet under ‘Related Documents’ on the right hand side of this page.
