The external funding for the loft and cavity insulation scheme has changed and fully funded measures are no longer available for all households. However, the Council is currently seeking other funding opportunities and further information will be updated in due course.
If you are in receipt of any of the following benefits then you may still be eligible to qualify for free funding. Please visit the benefits checker to check your eligibility.
The Council is commited to helping residents save money on their energy bills to 'Heat & Save' and increase the number of well insulated homes in the borough, while reducing carbon emissions.
If you have been thinking about rising energy bills and you would like further information, advice or possibly a home visit from our Housing Energy Officer, then please contact our Heat and Save Team on (01443) 425725. If you are in receipt of a means tested benefit and live in a energy inefficient home you may be eligible for grant funding under the Welsh Government's NEST Scheme. This Scheme provides a range of energy efficiency measures to make homes warmer. Homes that are energy inefficient usually includes older homes such as traditional stone terraced properties or larger homes which are end of terrace/semi detached or detached. Homes with no central heating or not using mains gas for the main form of heating are also usually less energy efficient.
