Mountain Ash's Courtney Maggs Jones is delighted to be returning to his home county borough to carry the torch in Pontypridd.
Courtney , 24, grew up in Mountain Ash and attended Town Church Primary in Aberdare, St. John’s Aberdare, then onto Llandaff Cathedral School, Cardiff and then Christ College, Brecon for sixth form.
He played rugby for Aberaman, Hirwaun and Mountain Ash, as well as cricket for Aberdare and has close sporting links with Rhondda Cynon Taf, which is why he is so proud to be returning.
After attending Brunel University in West London, Courtney now works as a publishing account manager for two London-based magazines that are orned by Merthyr Tydfil-based Stephens and George, which is celebrating its Centenary this year.
