Reference Libraries are provided at Aberdare, Pontypridd and Treorchy with dedicated inquiry staff.
Reference libraries also have reference material such as newspapers, magazines, dictionaries, directories, maps and photographs that can’t be borrowed, but these items can be consulted in our libraries. Study desks are provided. Digital microfilm/fiche scanners are available in the three reference libraries at Aberdare, Pontypridd and Treorchy.
Canon MS800 digital microfilm/fiche scanners can be used with the libraries’ microfilm and microfiche documents. These documents include material such as census returns for the local areas, as well as back runs of many local newspapers.
Our reference librarians can provide information about Rhondda-Cynon-Taf for all enquirers.
