As the home of countless fantastic events such as Ponty’s Big Weekend, the Big Welsh Bite, Mega Family Fun Days, seasonal fireworks and the beloved Christmas activities, Ynysangharad War Memorial Park is one of the premier public parks available in Rhondda Cynon Taf.
As if this wasn’t enough, golf and tennis lessons, year round fun and games for children, expansive open spaces and exercise classes for all ages are just a selection of the other services that make the historical location well worthy of a visit.
The park also offers a wide range of facilities, including a paddling pool with aqua slide, children's play area, pitch and putt golf course, crazy golf, bowling greens, football, cricket pitches and tennis courts, bandstand and takeaway cafeteria and other refreshment kiosks. The park contains a wide range of specimen trees and shrubs, as well as colourful seasonal planting. This historic park is the home to the Evan and James James memorial, composers of Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau ('Land of my Fathers') and the memorial to two World Wars and Falklands War.

Location of the Park:
The main entrance to the park is on Bridge Street just off the A470 interchange roundabout. There is a convenient entrance to the park via a bridge across the Taff River from the main shopping area of Taff Street.
