Jenny Sullivan talks to pupils

Pupils from Llanharan Primary School had plenty of questions for children’s author Jenny Sullivan when she visited them at Pontyclun Library.

Jenny met Year 3 and 4 pupils who are studying The Stuarts in school. They had read ‘Troublesome Thomas’ and ‘Tirion’s Secret Journal’, two of the author’s novels which are set in Llancaiach Fawr.

The youngsters had prepared lots of questions for Jenny, who has recently launched her latest teen novel ‘Full Moon’. She told the pupils about her work and where she gets her inspiration from.

Her visit was arranged as part of the recent Libraries Fortnight campaign held across Wales by CyMAL: Museums Archive and Libraries Wales. Welsh Libraries Fortnight is one element of the Welsh Government’s strategic development programme for libraries in Wales.

Rhondda Cynon Taf’s Cabinet Member for Culture, Recreation and Tourism, Cllr Robert Bevan, said: "Jenny told pupils about her work and where she gets her inspiration from and I am sure they were delighted to meet an author whose work they had read."
