Mayor Cllr Jones with members of Bjorn Belief
Dancing queens and kings strutted their stuff at an Abba night – and helped raise lots of money, money, money for local charities.
People of all ages had the time of their life dancing to hits like Waterloo and Super Trouper when tribute act Bjorn Belief performed at the Muni Arts Centre, Pontypridd, in aid of the Rhondda Cynon Taf Mayor’s Charity Appeal.
Funds raised from the sold-out evening will be donated to the Mayor’s six chosen charities: Viva Wales; RCT Crossroads; Rhondda Powerhouse Trust (Llwynypia); Mid Glamorgan Operatic Society; GTFM Community Radio (Taff Ely); and Colstars Youth Theatre (Cynon Valley).
Mayor, Councillor Sylvia Jones, donned her dancing shoes and joined the fabulous fundraising event. Cllr Jones said: “A big thank you to everyone who came along. It was a great night out and raised more than £2,000 for some very good causes.”
