Hunt Is On For Inspiring Writers
Posted on Tuesday 24th April 2012
Local people who enjoy writing short stories or poetry can see their words in print in Rhondda Cynon Taf Libraries’ 2012 anthology.
The Library Service is inviting anyone who works, lives or studies in Rhondda Cynon Taf to submit a short story or poem for inclusion in the 2012 collection.
There are no restrictions on subject matter, although short stories should be no longer than 2,000 words and can be written in either Welsh or English. This year the editorial team are particularly hoping for more entries from teenagers and young adults with a modern “edge” to their writing.
An editorial team will select entries for inclusion and will launch the anthology during October 2012.
People who wish to submit entries can do so by e-mailing them to: Catherine.A.Langdon@rctcbc.gov.uk| or by post to Catherine Langdon, Area Manager (North), Aberdare Library, Green Street, Aberdare, CF44 7AG.
Deadline for submissions is June 30th 2012.
Membership of all Rhondda Cynon Taf’s libraries is free and everyone living or working within the County Borough is welcome to join. Find out more by visiting www.rhondda-cynon-taff.gov.uk/libraries.co.uk|
