Olly Murs will be performing to a sell-out crowd at Ponty's Big Weekend
Tickets for Pontys’ Big Weekend with Poptastic Olly Murs, supported by Cover Drive, and operatic superstar Alfie Boe have SOLD OUT.
And the phenomenal success of Rhondda Cynon Taf Council’s flagship event is set to go into orbit tomorrow morning, when tickets go on sale for the first-ever Friday night PBW concert, featuring the sensational Jessie J.
Ponty’s Big Weekend, which has previously hosted stars such as JLS and The Wanted, is fast securing a place on the national music festival listings, offering a fantastic weekend with chart-topping pop on the Saturday night and a more relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere at the free, classical Sunday afternoon.
Tens of thousands of music fans from across the UK have flocked to Pontypridd, providing a welcome boost for the local economy and also allowing Rhondda Cynon Taf to showcase all it has to offer.
2012 has seen, for the first time, the introduction of a Friday night concert and the three-day festival has most certainly been launched in style with the securing of Jessie J, who is undoubtedly one of the hottest names in UK music right now, thanks to her chart-topping sound and winning performance as a judge on The Voice.
She will take to the stage in the home town of her fellow The Voice judge, the legendary Sir Tom Jones, on Friday, July 20. Tickets go on sale at 8am tomorrow (May 10) priced just £20 plus standard booking fee.
