In February 2020, Storm Dennis brought unprecedented levels of rainfall which saw the three rivers in Rhondda Cynon Taf reaching their highest recorded levels. Subsequently a significant number of businesses were severely impacted by the flooding that followed.
The Flood Resilience Grant will provide support for businesses to implement measures to their properties, which will improve business resilience in dealing with any such potential weather events in the future.
Who can apply?
Small and Medium size businesses based in the retail areas of the following Town Centres - Aberdare; Ferndale; Llantrisant; Mountain Ash; Pontypridd; Porth; Tonypandy and Treorchy.
Priority will be given to businesses that can evidence they were affected by flooding during Storm Dennis.
