The next Local Government Elections will be held on Thursday 5th May 2022
Rhondda Cynon Taf has 75 elected members known as councillors. These elections will allow voters to elect their local councillors as well as community/town councillors.
To vote in the Local Government Elections, you must be:
- Registered to vote If you’re not already registered
- 16 or over on the day of the election – 5 May 2022
- A British, Irish, EU, or qualifying Commonwealth citizen
- A qualifying foreign citizen who has permission to enter or stay in the UK, or who doesn’t need such permission
Already registered? You will receive your poll card at the end of March.
If you normally vote in a polling station, your poll card will tell you where to vote and what times the polling station is open for voting. A list of the polling stations in RCT and who is entitled to vote there can be found on the polling station information page
You do not need to take your poll card with you to vote
