Rhondda Cynon Taf Council is holding a series of community “Thank You” events to recognise the outstanding contribution made during the Coronavirus pandemic so far. 

The Thank You events are being held to mark the Conferment of the Freedom of the County Borough to all key workers in Rhondda Cynon Taf, in recognition of their outstanding service, commitment and bravery during the Coronavirus pandemic. 

The official Conferment ceremony will take place during the first “thank you” event, which happens in Ynysangharad War Memorial Park, Pontypridd, on Saturday, July 9. 

The other two events take place in Gelligaled Park, Ystrad on Saturday, July 16, and Aberdare Park, Aberdare, on Saturday, July 23. 

The full line up:

 

Ynysangharad War Memorial Park, Pontypridd. Saturday, July 9. 11am – 4pm. 

Begins with the ceremony to confer the Freedom of the Borough to all frontline workers in Rhondda Cynon Taf. 

Free circus skills workshop, Parkour stunt show and petting farm. 

Small children’s funfair rides, bouncy castle, face-painter, donkey rides, cave experience, climbing wall, segways and trampoline (charged at £1 per person per ride/activity). 

Burger van, sweet stall, ice cream van and crepe van on site if you wish to purchase snacks. 

 

 

Gelligaled Park, Ystrad, Saturday, July 16. 11am – 4pm 

Free circus skills workshop, balloon modelling and Parkour stunt show.

Small children’s funfair rides, bouncy castle, face-painter, donkey rides, cave experience, climbing wall and segways (charge at £1 per person per ride/activity)

Burger van, sweet stall, ice cream van and crepe van on site if you wish to purchase snacks.

 

Aberdare Park, Aberdare, Saturday July 23. 11am – 4pm
