We are currently consulting on the Public Spaces Protection Order enforcing No Alcohol Zones in Pontypridd and Aberdare, which came into force two years ago.

In September 2018, Rhondda Cynon Taf Council introduced a new Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO), which was promoted by the Calling Time on Street Drinking campaign.

The PSPO introduced new rules for residents – designating the whole of Rhondda Cynon Taf as a Controlled Drinking Zone, and introducing alcohol-free streets in Aberdare and Pontypridd, and specified surrounding areas, to increase the friendly and welcoming nature of our Town Centres for residents and visitors.

We would like to hear your views regarding the PSPO. The below links contain some important information in relation to the rules which were introduced in 2018.

The consultation starts on the Friday, October 2, and ends at 5pm on October 30, 2020
