The school will benefit from a £10.2m investment to improve education facilities – with the project comprising of state-of-the-art learning environments, two Multi-Use Games Areas, an early years Flying Start facility, staff car parking, a grass sports pitch and external spaces.
These facilities will replace the current school buildings at Glanant Street, for 3-11 year-olds.
The Council has appointed Morgan Sindall to deliver the scheme, and the contractor began works on site on September 2, 2019. Initial progress has included establishing site offices, building an access road, and demolishing the school’s existing infant school building. This followed the installation of four temporary classrooms, which the school’s infant classes have moved into.
