Having previously worked in the Private sector as a Marketing Officer I moved over to the Public Sector in 2007 within The Adult Education Department.  In 2009 I graduated following the completion of my PGCE. I worked as a Tutor within various Community venues in RCT where I taught  IT, Business studies, Essential skills and motivational Techniques.  In addition I also worked as a Learning Project Officer and Life Coach for Communities First and was an Adult Mentor for Communities for Work, working with individuals with multiple barriers to employment to move them closer to the labour market.

1 in 4 people suffer from Mental Health and being part of an individual’s journey to recovery is really rewarding. I have witnessed first-hand the positive impact that a Mental Health Coach can have on an individual.  Creating a safe, confidential and free from judgement environment where individuals feel heard, valued and most importantly understood is key to the success of recovery.  Creating small and achievable goals tailor made by the individuals with the Mental Health Coach’s guidance creates a sense of achievement and another step closer to staying well.
