It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas at the Welsh Mining Experience, Rhondda Heritage Park! Santa’s Toy Mine is open until Christmas Eve, along with the Christmas Shop and Teddy Bear Workshop.
Thousands of people are heading to the Council’s family tourist attraction in the run-up to Christmas and Santa's Toy Mine is now fully-booked.
Cllr Ann Crimmings, Cabinet Member for Environment and Leisure, with responsibility for heritage services and visitor attractions, said: “Once again this year, we have lots going on at the Welsh Mining Experience, Rhondda Heritage Park, with Christmas fun for all the family.
“Santa has arrived and Santa’s Toy Mine has re-opened for the 2017 festive season. During your visit, Caffe Bracchi will also be serving hot and cold drinks as well as a menu of mouth-watering delights to suit all tastes.
“Come and join us – bring your family and friends along and tell everyone about Christmas at the Welsh Mining Experience, Rhondda Heritage Park.”
Each child who visits Santa’s Toy Mine will not only be guided on a magical journey, but they will come face-to-face with the great man himself and receive a special gift to take home.
Accompanying adults will not be left out either - they will get a hot drink and a mince pie upon arrival.
At Santa’s Toy Mine, which is suitable for all ages, there are magical surprises around every corner.
New for 2017, climb inside the Giant Snow Globe for the perfect souvenir photograph, make your very own teddy in the Teddy Workshop and finally capture that priceless Christmas moment with a photograph with Santa (additional costs apply). There are also late-night tours at Santa’s Toy Mine available December 18-22.
No visit would be complete without popping into the fantastic Christmas Shop - the perfect place to pick up your traditional Christmas gifts and cards.
