Rhondda Cynon Taf Council and the Nos Galan Committee are delighted to announce that one of the main sponsors for this year’s event on New Year Eve is local firm Tom Prichard Ltd.
The Llantrisant-based earth moving, demolition, transport and plant hire company says it is delighted to be associated with the world-famous Nos Galan Road Races, which take place in Mountain Ash on December 31.
The other event sponsors to date are Amgen, provider of Rhondda Cynon Taf’s waste management services; Trivallis, one of Wales’ largest registered social landlords providing homes for thousands of families across the County Borough; and Communities First.
All places in the Adult 5k Fun Run at the world-famous Nos Galan Road Races were filled within a record-breaking five days. A further 15 race places were later released, all of which were snapped up within three minutes.
Cllr Ann Crimmings, chair of the Nos Galan Committee and Rhondda Cynon Taf Council Cabinet Member for Environment and Leisure, said: “We are very much looking forward to this year’s event, as we have seen unprecedented demand for race places.
“We are grateful to Tom Prichard Ltd for their support this year, and once again special thanks to Amgen, Trivallis and Communities First for their continued support.
“The backing of companies, local, national or international, is crucial to the success of staging an event of this magnitude year-on-year.”
An amazing 1,065 people will now be taking part in this year’s 5k Adult Fun Run, with a further 325 athletes competing in the Elite Race - and many more in the childrens’ races.
