Do you know someone who has gone above and beyond to support the people around them and their wider community?

Perhaps you are aware of a resident who deserves recognition for their personal achievements, be that in education, sport or culture.

Rhondda Cynon Taf Council is seeking nominations for the 2018 Rhondda Cynon Taf Mayor's Good Citizen Awards and we want to hear from you.

Cllr Margaret Tegg, Rhondda Cynon Taf Council's Mayor, said: "Rhondda Cynon Taf is famed for its incredible community spirit and I know there are many people in our county borough who make a huge contribution to the lives of others and the wider community.

"I also know there are residents who deserve celebration and recognition for their own achievements in education, sport, culture and arts.

"I am so pleased to be able to continue the Good Citizens Awards into 2018 to ensure those who give so much are recognised and celebrated.

"It's a chance to celebrate all that is good about Rhondda Cynon Taf and its residents."

The awards will recognise and honour County Borough residents who may not receive the recognition they deserve for their community or charity efforts or those who deserve celebrating for their achievements.
