Looking for somewhere to take the children this Easter? Look no further than the Welsh Mining Experience at Rhondda Heritage Park.
Back by popular demand, the Council’s very-own ‘Easter Egg-stravaganza’ at the Welsh Mining Experience takes place on Good Friday, March 30, and Saturday, March 31.
Themed activities over the two days will include an Easter Egg Hunt, arts and crafts, face painting, children’s rides and bouncy castle.
The Black Gold Experience Underground Guided Tours will also be open on both days.
Gates will be open from 10.30am until 4pm on both days.
Cllr Ann Crimmings, Cabinet Member for Environment and Leisure, with responsibility for Heritage Service and Visitor Attractions, said: “Our Easter Egg-stravaganza is always extremely popular with families and attracts visitors from not only Rhondda Cynon Taf, but also from outside our County Borough.
“This is a great testament to the Welsh Mining Experience as a family tourist destination, which is continuing to benefit from ongoing investment from the Council.
“In recent years, substantial Council investment has resulted in an exciting, new digital/audio facility, the redesign of the internal layout, the opening of Cafe Bracchi and the new exhibition area.
“Advice is book early for the Easter Egg Hunt, as this proves to be extremely popular.
“Come along and have a great day out with the family at the Welsh Mining Experience over the Easter holidays - our miners will be delighted to see you.”
