GoodCitizenAward

Do you know someone who has gone above and beyond to support the people around them and their wider community? Perhaps you are aware of a resident who deserves recognition for their personal, sporting or artistic achievements.

Rhondda Cynon Taf Council is still seeking nominations for the 2019 Rhondda Cynon Taf Mayor's Good Citizen Awards - and we want to hear from you! All nominations must be in by 10pm on Sunday, March 31.

Councillor Steve Powderhill, Mayor of Rhondda Cynon Taf, said: "The residents of Rhondda Cynon Taf are widely known for their incredible community spirit, and there are many people in our County Borough who make a huge contribution to the lives of others and their wider community.

"I also know there are residents who deserve recognition for their personal hard work and perseverance for their own achievements in education, sport, culture and arts.

"I am delighted as Mayor to continue the Good Citizen Awards into 2019, ensuring that those who give so much to their communities are recognised and celebrated.

"It's a chance to celebrate all that is good about Rhondda Cynon Taf and its residents."

The awards will recognise and honour County Borough residents who may not often receive the recognition they deserve for their community or charity efforts, or those who deserve celebrating for their achievements.

You can nominate people for any of the below categories:

  • Artistic Achievement
  • Personal Achievement
  • Services to Charity
  • Services to the Community
