Get set for the new 2019 season at the National Lido of Wales, Lido Ponty, with a PRICE FREEZE for adults and activity sessions and FREE SWIM for all children under the age of 16.
The Council’s flagship family outdoor water attraction, the only one of its kind in Wales, opens to the public on Saturday, April 13, until Sunday, April 28, with daily swim sessions available from 7.30am until 7.15pm.
Tickets for swims can be booked seven days in advance online, with a limited number of tickets available each day at 9am from the reception of the National Lido of Wales, Lido Ponty, on a first-come, first-served basis.

It will then remain open for morning swims (7.30am to 9am) on weekdays between Monday 29th April until Friday 24th May, as well as opening on weekends and the Bank Holiday throughout May for normal swim and activity sessions.
The National Lido of Wales, Lido Ponty, opens for its 2019 summer season seven-days-a-week (7.30am to 7.15pm) from Saturday, May 25, to Sunday, September 1. It will then be open at weekends until September 22, as well as open daily for morning sessions only from 7.30am until 9am.

Since opening in 2015, more than 266,000 people have visited Lido Ponty, including a record-breaking 91,000 visitors last season alone, which was an increase of over 16,000 visitors on the previous year.
More and more people are heading to the National Lido of Wales, Lido Ponty, as it continues to grow in popularity with families and swimmers of all ages and abilities.
The National Lido of Wales, Lido Ponty, has full disabled access, including entry into the main pool. Admission to the National Lido of Wales, Lido Ponty, remains at £2 per adult for 2019 and FREE for children under the age of 16.
As well as the opportunity for lane swimming and more relaxed swims in the heated pools, and a Splash Pool for the little ones, there are also a host of water activities on offer throughout the season.
For just £2.50, visitors can enjoy everything from fun inflatables to Aqua Scooterz, Aqua Peddlerz and Water Walkerz.
Situated in the picturesque Ynysangharad War Memorial Park, Pontypridd, the National Lido of Wales, Lido Ponty, is Wales’ premier outdoor family water attraction, offering something for all ages.
It is the perfect place for families to enjoy a great day out, for dedicated swimmers and social swimmers and also for children who enjoy aquatic antics in the open-air, whatever the weather, within safe and historic surroundings.
The National Lido of Wales, Lido Ponty, originally opened to the public in 1927 and sadly fell into a state of disrepair before closing.
But following massive investment and a major redevelopment in recent years, it now attracts visitors from all over the country and overseas and was crowned the Best Cultural Heritage Project in Wales at the 2018 EU Funds Awards.
The £6.3m Grade II listed outdoor family water attraction was officially re-opened on July 6, 2016, by His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales and Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall.
Other attractions at the National Lido of Wales, include the Lido Ponty Public Exhibition, The Waterside Café and Lido Play, the childrens’ adventure park, which captures the imagination of younger visitors as they explore the swings, slides and tunnels in this locally-themed attraction celebrating our proud industrial past.
