Dig out your tartan outfits, folks – The Bay City Rollers icon Les McKeown is back by popular demand, bringing his energetic stage show back to Rhondda Cynon Taf this month!

Les McKeown’s Bay City Rollers promises to be a unique voyage back to the 1970s, when Les and his legendary band ruled the world’s pop charts and The Bay City Rollers’ music became the soundtrack for an entire generation of teenagers.

Les brings back the all the thrill and excitement of Rollermania, performing all the band’s original hits including Bye Bye Baby, Shang-a-Lang, Remember, Summerlove Sensation and Give A Little Love as well as introducing new songs from the new album Lost Songs.

The Bay City Rollers, five young men from Edinburgh, went on to become the world's first international teen idols.

Councillor Rhys Lewis, Cabinet Member for Stronger Communities, Well-being and Cultural Services, said: “The Bay City Rollers were one of the original ‘Boy Bands’ setting not only the trends in music but also in fashion.

“First there was Beatlemania, and then came Rollermania. We are delighted to welcome Les McKeown and his band back to Rhondda Cynon Taf for what I am sure will be a night to remember.”

Les McKeown’s Bay City Rollers perform at the Coliseum Theatre, Aberdare, on Friday, October 25 (7:30pm).
