Lido fans will be able to visit the historic and iconic attraction for the last time in 2019, enjoying a swim in heated waters, and refreshments – the perfect way to celebrate the festive season.

It will also be a fantastic end to a 2019 season at Lido Ponty, which saw over 76,000 visitors from all over Rhonda Cynon Taf and further afield swim, play and relax in one of the three heated outdoor pools.

It was also the year Lido Ponty went global, starring in the television, internet and billboard adverts of Internet giants Google, as it encouraged people to search for amazing experiences to enjoy.

“This has become one of our favourite traditions at Lido Ponty and is a chance for people to celebrate the festive season in a unique way.

“People have enjoyed the heated waters of the three pools at Lido Ponty in all weather conditions. They relaxed in the glorious sunshine and they never let a bit of rain ruin their fun.

“The Boxing Day swim is a really special event because the waters remain heated and you can enjoy an outdoor swim in the middle of winter! It’s hugely popular and we urge people to book online – or at Lido Ponty reception – when tickets go on sale at 10:00am on Monday, December 2.

“You will not be able to purchase tickets over the telephone, so it is important you are online or in reception to avoid disappointment.

“We look forward to welcoming people on Boxing Day and, of course, we will be busy making plans for Lido Ponty 2020 and another amazing season.”
