  • The Met Office has issued a further YELLOW weather warning for Rhondda Cynon Taf, from 6pm on Wednesday (February 19) to 3pm Thursday (February 20), due to more heavy rain

  • Our recycling and refuse collections continue this week and we ask our residents to put out their items on their allocated days. But please bear with us as there may be delays in getting to you this week as a massive clean-up operation is underway across our County Borough

  • The Council will provide financial support to residents and businesses affected by the flooding following Storm Dennis

  • The 99 Bus Service – Pontypridd Town Circular is now back running as normal
  • Maerdy mountain road is OPEN
  • The A4059 thriough the Cynon Valley is OPEN
  • We ask all motorists to drive with great care as there is still a lot of debris around the County Borough.
  • Llanwonno/Blaenllechau mountain road is OPEN
  • Storm Dennis was declared a MAJOR INCIDENT in the South Wales region at the weekend and the Council continues to do all it can to assist residents
  • Council Leader establishes a Recovery Board to respond to Storm Dennis
  • Motorists are advised to drive with great caution and allow extra time for their journeys due to travel disruption across our County Borough
  • We urge motorists to adhere to all road closure signs across our County Borough – they are in place for a reason. Please bear with us
  • The Council is working in partnership with Interlink, community groups and our communities to co-ordinate a community response to flooding and ensure we get the right help to the right locations as soon as we can
