Library Services will be operating an "Order and Collect" service only. Books will be available for order and collection from the following libraries:

Community Resilience Hubs
The following libraries are now Community Resilience Hubs to coordinate support for residents:
- Mountain Ash hub
- Ferndale hub
- Aberdare library
- Porth Plaza hub
- Llys Cadwyn (from 30th March)
- Garth Olwg Lifelong Learning Centre
- Llantrisant library
THESE FACILITIES ARE CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC, however, recycling bags can be picked up by residents from outside/within the doorway of these facilities.
In response to public health advice, Leisure Centres are closed to the public until further notice.
As a result of the closure of our facilities we will be freezing all Leisure for Life membership payments and swimming lesson direct debit payments. Customers will have days added to their accounts (or extensions to annual and cash payments where applicable) to make up for the days lost in March once we re-open for business.

ALL RCT Theatres are CLOSED to the public, to allow the Council to redeploy staff to priority services and also in line with the UK and Welsh Government guidance to limit unnecessary social contact.
ALL Events across the County Borough up to and including the month of September are now CANCELLED. The preparation and organisation required to plan and host events is not possible under the current circumstances as the Council has redeployed staff to priority services, and the decision is also in line with the latest social distancing guidance from the UK and Welsh Governments.
Welsh Mining Experience at Rhondda Heritage Park
The Welsh Mining Experience at Rhondda Heritage Park is CLOSED to the public to allow the Council to redeploy staff to priority services and also in line with the UK and Welsh Government guidance to limit unnecessary social contact.
Parks and Open Spaces
ALL Council owned Play Areas are CLOSED to the public in an effort to adhere to and encourage the social distancing guidelines issued by the UK Government and Welsh Government.
Parks and Open Spaces currently remain OPEN
Ynysangharad War Memorial Park is now open daily from 10am - 6pm. Council enforcement Officers and local PCSOs will undertake regular patrols to ensure that social distancing guidelines are being adhered to and the situation will be kept under review.
Please note: although Parks and Open Spaces remain open, all facilities within the parks are CLOSED, including cafes, car parks, toilets and Ranger Services.
