Jubilee Bank Holiday Opening Hours

The Council will be closed on Thursday 2nd June and Friday 3rd June – this applies to ALL major services aside from out-of-hours emergencies. Details of the services available and their opening hours are detailed below.

If the service area you are looking for is not highlighted below, please see individual pages or websites for details of their opening hours over the Bank Holiday period.

Please Note: The Council’s Social Media channels will not be monitored over this period (Thurday 2nd June - Monday 6th June) and residents are advised to use the emergency out-of-hours number for urgent queries that can’t wait until the Council re-opens.

Bins and Recycling

There are NO CHANGES to your Recycling and Waste collections this Bank Holiday, please leave your items at your normal collection point on your usual day.

Please note: If you have applied for a road closure for a street party, your waste may be collected earlier than usual to accommodate this - so please ensure your items are at the kerbside by 7am on your collection day.

The main office (Glyntaff) will be CLOSED on Thursday 2nd June and Friday 3rd June. Normal service will resume on Monday 6th June 2022.

There are currently no changes in place for Cemetery grounds over the Bank Holiday period.

There are sometimes exceptional circumstances when we have to close the cemeteries to vehicles at short notice.

The cemeteries can be accessed by pedestrians when closed to vehicles but we would urge people to exercise caution when visiting our cemeteries in adverse weather and to ensure they wear appropriate clothing and footwear to avoid falls and injury.
