Grab Your Rake

‘Grab Your Rake’ is a council’s initiative to manage grassed areas where a machine cannot be used to both cut and collect the cuttings. This could be because these are located on banks, uneven terrain or simply because we are trying to preserve an existing habitat such as ancient ant hills.

To help us, we are asking members of the community to come and join us to rake these areas so that we can ensure ultimate growing conditions for wildflowers for next year.

All you need is a pair of gloves, a rake and good footwear and appropriate clothing.

All events start at 10am.

If you would like to join us, please register your interest by email at, quoting: Grab Your Rake and let us know which event below is of interest to you. Further information will then be sent over to you.
