Service Information

Access and Inclusion Service is composed of three integrated services. These are the Educational Psychology Service, the Learner Support Service and the Additional Learning Needs Service including the Early Years Service.

The Additional Learning Needs Administrative Service (ALNAS) underpins and supports the work of Access & Inclusion Teams by providing the administration for all placements in specialist provisions, together with the administration associated with ALN and SEN statutory processes and annual reviews.

The Early Years Additional Learning Needs (ALN) service supports children who are under statutory school age and who are not yet attending a school setting, through the Early Years Forum processes. The Early Years Forum is a multi-agency forum that provides a central point of support for children with a potential ALN. The Early Years processes ensure that children can access services and provision that are required to meet their needs through the Early Years Forum and Early Years Advisory Panel. This service strives to achieve positive outcomes for early years children and their families and aims to support pre-school providers, childminders and Health professionals to develop a culture of early intervention and support for all.
