Aqua Aerobics includes all the exercises you would expect to enjoy in a studio, but with the added benefit of a water-based workout.
It is well-known that exercise in water increases resistance and, therefore, the effectiveness of your workout and the low-impact support offered by the water makes it a perfect activity for people of all ages and abilities.
What will an Aqua aerobics class do for me?
The water supports your body, meaning there is less strain on your limbs and joints. Water also adds resistance, which makes the activity more effective, helping you to stretch tone and improve cardiovascular health at the same time.
Because you are in water, you feel cooler throughout, helping you to exercise for longer.
How long is an Aqua aerobics class?
Classes last between 45 minutes to an hour.
How often should I attend & what should I wear?
Aqua Aerobics is a perfect class to enjoy regularly up to three times a week. Equipment such as floats will be provided by the pool. You just need a sensible, comfortable swimming costume and towel and a bottle of water to refresh yourself afterwards.
Classes are suitable for ages 11+. Under 14’s must be a competent swimmer and accompanied by an adult.
