Using the same Technogym Bikes that are used in more traditional spinning classes, Virtual Spin does not have an instructor - you set your effort levels and take advantage of the technology on the machinery to get the most out of your workout!
A large screen at the front of the room uses different terrains - a particular favourite is the Australian Outback - for you to enjoy the benefits of a cycle-based workout.
What will a VIRTUAL SPIN class do for me?
It will help increase cardiovascular health, while also building muscle and toning and sculpting your legs and abdomen. Because spinning keeps the pressure off your feet and knees, it is low-impact and perfect for those recovering from injury who want to build back strength.
How long is a VIRTUAL SPIN class?
Classes last an hour but the staff at Hawthorn Leisure Centre are more than happy to accommodate virtual spin where possible. As long as there are no other classes going on, they should be able to fit you in at a time that suits you - please call for more information.
How often should i attend & what should I wear?
Even just attending one Spinning class a week is an effective exercise. Depending on your exercise timetable and recovery rate, you may wish to attend more often. Comfortable workout clothes and a bottle of water is a must. You may also want to invest in padded cycle shorts.
