Founded in 1921, it has been a well-established facility in the heart of the Cynon Valley for many years. Our club lies just one mile from Aberdare town centre. Acres of manicured, meadow lawns and mature oak form the contours of our mountain parkland course. Surrounded by panoramic views of the South Wales valleys, this is truly a beautiful place to golf, lunch and socialise.
Aberdare Golf Club has a very impressive golfing legacy. Famous for producing talented golfers - none more famous than past Ryder Cup Captain and international tournament winner, David Rees, who started his career here as an assistant professional. This has been a good omen for the club, as we have always had a healthy competitive spirit, leading to both individuals and club teams being successful at county and national level.
