Good progress has been made on site at Ynysybwl Road in Glyn-coch, with large sheet piles now installed to begin to reinstate suitable support across 25-metres of the embankment.
The larger piling equipment is now removed from site, enabling the length of the lane closure to be reduced. This will help traffic flow for the remaining works.
Our contractor is now moving on to installing 11 soil nails, which will be installed and tested over the next two weeks.
The scheme will then progress to its final phases – final structural elements to the top of the wall, reinstatement of the footway and fencing, and resurfacing.
