The Council will undertake a full review of its Individual Disabled Parking Bay Scheme – to ensure it continues to meet needs, while also addressing the ongoing challenges resulting from increased demand and budget pressures.
Following a recent Delegated Officer Decision, the review will be undertaken by the end of 2024 and will inform a report that will then be formally considered before any proposals are put forward for the scheme in future years.
As a result of the upcoming review, new applications for Individual Disabled Parking Bays will be suspended from September 1, 2023. All approved applications submitted to the scheme in 2022/23 will continue to be installed in line with the usual processes.
