Children's library

Every Library has a children's and teenage section which aims to support children and young people through every aspect of their learning.

In order to use you local library you will need to become a member. Join your library online.

Children of any age are welcome to join the library and borrow books free of charge.

Stories range from board books for the very young to teenage novels. We also have a special Quick Reads section for children who are just beginning to read alone.

If you need help with your homework or school project each library has a wide range of information books.

Welsh language collections are stocked at each library. 

Special book Collections

Dual language picture books in a selection of languages from Arabic to Urdu and Braille & Giant Print picture books are housed in Reserve Stock and are available on request from any branch library. 

E-Teens

Treorchy Library is home to a dedicated library space for young people where they can access books and a wide range of events and activities. For more information about events in E-Teens contact Lindsey.M.Poole@rctcbc.gov.uk 

Schools Library Service

The Schools Library Service offers a value for money loan and advice service to primary schools in Rhondda Cynon Taf.  For more information on our Empathy Lab collections, bespoke project loans or Class Reader sets contact us on 01685 885228 or at schools.library@rctcbc.gov.uk
